    serves 6

  • 1 Bauli panettone
  • 200 g Novi white chocolate
  • 6 tbsp of fresh cream
  • sugar strands as necessary
  • silver balls or other decorations, according to taste
  • >> Our wine picks:
  • Castello del Poggio Moscato d’Asti DOCG
  • OR: Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut

  1. Cut the middle part of the panettone into 3 slices, about 3 cm thick, and place on a chopping board.
  2. With a sharp knife cut each slice so that you are left with the shape of a Christmas tree.
  3. Grate the chocolate into a steel bowl and cook in a bain-marie together with the cream until it reaches the consistency of a smooth and consistent cream.
  4. Place the Christmas trees on a griddle and cover with the melted chocolate. Decorate the surface with some silver balls and sugar strands.

Chef's tip

You can also layer the Christmas trees before covering them with the icing. Add some jam in between the layers, frost, decorate, then serve!

Serving suggestion

Serve at the end of a meal as a dessert. Goes well with any kind of dish.

Wine selection

Castello del Poggio Moscato d’Asti DOCG, Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut or Passito.

Family tip

If you are not a fan of raisins and/or candied fruits, we suggest you use a Pandoro instead of the Panettone.
