  • 1 Bauli Panettone
  • 200 g Novi dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • water, as needed
  • silver sugar balls, as needed
  • red currants (or other berries), fresh or dried, as needed
  • Noberasco organic shelled walnuts, as needed

  1. Cut the centre part of the Panettone into several 2 cm-thick slices.
  2. Cut off the crust and dice into cubes.
  3. Place the sugar in a pan together with ½ a tea cup of water and let it dissolve over a very low heat, stirring with a spoon.
  4. Let the syrup reduce a little and switch off.
  5. Grate the dark chocolate and melt it in a steel bowl in a bain-marie, beating with a whisk.
  6. Very slowly add the sugar syrup to the melted chocolate and keep on stirring.
  7. Place the Panettone cubes on a griddle and cover them with the melted chocolate.
  8. Decorate to taste with silver balls, whole or chopped nuts and wild berries.
  9. Cool down for 2 hours, then place the chocolates on a serving dish.

Chef's tip

For a coffee aroma, you can add some coffee drops to the melted chocolate.

Serving suggestion

Serve with a cup of tea or a coffee, at the end of a meal or in the afternoon.

Wine selection

Prosecco Superiore DOCG extra dry, Moscato or Passito.
