  • 250 g pack Giovanni Rana Gorgonzola & Crunchy Mellow Walnut Ravioli
  • 1 tbsp. Filippo Berio Gran Cru Toscano extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 pear, cored and sliced
  • 2 figs, sliced
  • 4 tbsp crème fraiche or Parmalat UHT long life cooking cream
  • 4 slices prosciutto ham
  • flat leaf parsley or basil, to garnish
  • Cannamela organic black pepper, freshly ground
  • salt

  1. Cook the ravioli in a large pot in lightly salted boiling water and simmer gently for 4 minutes. Avoid overcooking.
  2. At the same time, heat a little olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the pear slices for 2 minutes, then add the figs and cook for a further 2 minutes. Stir in the crème fraîche.
  3. Drain the ravioli and toss in the pear mixture.
  4. Share between 2 warm serving plates, season with black pepper and top with the prosciutto slices.
  5. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil and serve, garnished with flat leaf parsley or basil.

Chef's tip

If you want to serve this recipe to vegetarians, omit the prosciutto.

Serving suggestion

Serve with a salad or vegetable-based side dishes. Alternatively, a lean meat-based main course can be served too.

Wine selection

Amarone, Valpolicella Ripasso, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Riesling or Sauvignon blanc.
