  • 1 celery core
  • 4 big potatoes, boiled
  • Filippo Berio extra virgin olive oil
  • Cannamela organic black pepper
  • lime and orange slices, to taste

Method

  1. Boil the potatoes (skins on) in salted water. Once cooked, peel them and leave to cool.
  2. Mix the octopus delicacies together with the thinly cut celery, potatoes and citrus fruit slices. 
  3. Season with olive oil, salt and pepper, then serve.

We suggest garnishing the dishes with some minced fresh parsley.

 

Serving suggestion

Serve with a colourful leafy salad and/or with vegetable and fish side-dishes. 

 

Wine selection

Serve with a cold white wine like, e.g., Chardonnay Poggio alle Fate Toscana IGT, Falanghina or Pinot noir.

Dish history

Octopus and potato salad is a typical Mediterranean recipe, very common in coastal areas, where octopus is fished and consumed a lot. Despite being very low in calories, this seafood dish won't leave you feeling hungry: its taste and consistency will pamper your taste buds and make you feel satisfied.
