Chef's tip

If you like, you can also add a few mint leaves.

Serving suggestion

Serve at the end of a meal as a dessert or, with the addition of rocket or lettuce, as a light salad. Accompanied with some homemade bread, the latter can become a one pot dish.

Wine selection

Trebbiano di Romagna, Sauvignon blanc.

Family tip

You can either use the regular balsamic vinegar of Modena (12 months or 3 years old) or you can use the thicker Gastronomic Glaze with balsamic vinegar of Modena.. The choice is yours!

Dish history

Here comes a freshoriginal and unbelievably easy recipe for a dessert or a rather eccentric salad: the sweetness and tenderness of the strawberries marry beautifully with the stronger Parmigiano Reggiano flavour, and both tastes are enhanced by the balsamic vinegar drops. You can serve it as a dessert or you can enjoy it as a salad on warm spring and summer days, in which case, feel free to add some greens!
