Ingredients

  • 3 Auricchio buffalo mozzarella
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 30 g fresh basil leaves
  • Ponti Gastronomic Glaze
  • Filippo Berio basil flavoured extra virgin olive oil (optional)
  • Cannamela black pepper, freshly ground
  • salt

Method

  1. Cut the mozzarella into big cubes (or slices) and the tomatoes in halves.
  2. Place the diced mozzarella on a plate with the tomatoes.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with basil, sprinkle with Ponti Gastronomic Glaze and serve.

Chef's tip

You can add some fresh or dried oregano and a few drops of Filippo Berio basil flavoured extra virgin olive oil to this salad, if you want.

Serving suggestion

Serve as a single light course with some crispy homemade bread, croutons or crackers or as part of a mixed appetiser buffet. It goes well with almost any traditional Italian dish, especially with pasta and vegetables.
